Jerry was such an angel!
He was so sweet and loving and definitely had a huge part of my
heart. But as time went on, shortly after his 3rd birthday
he took a turn for the worst and got lethargic and started
losing weight.
He hasn't been himself
and hasn't acted like he was sick but I could tell something
wasn't right. I thought I would take her in and get a
blood panel done instead of sitting and speculating. On 23
June 2003, around 6.30pm, I took Jerry to the Vet. He put
in a catheter and started the drip and was in the process of
putting a splint on when Jerry threw his head back and let out a
cry. A minute later, he was gone.
Jerry has many
wonderful, happy days. He was a fighter and held on as
long as he could. We think he knew we were just trying to
help him and thus fought as hard as he could for as long as he
could. He didn't want to leave us anymore than we wanted
him to leave. He loved us as much as we loved him but
unfortunately, his days were obviously numbered. And he
went to the Rainbow Bridge. We greatly miss you,
Jerry...losing him tore a hole in our hearts!
